Marketing Automation & ABM

Marketing automation platforms and account based marketing systems: nurture and lifecycle email at volume, account orchestration, advertising activation, and the AI features now layered across all of it. The evaluation splits into the durable questions and the new one. Durable: consent and preference management across jurisdictions, deliverability discipline at marketing volume, and attribution honesty, since self graded influence models flatter the platform that computes them. New: whether the AI features survive the removal test, meaning whether anything material stops working when the AI label is peeled off. Established platforms in this category carry the largest gap in the index between what is claimed as AI and what is evidenced as AI.

Alyce
Alyce is a business to business gifting platform built around recipient choice. A sender picks a gift and the recipient receives an invitation leading to a personalized landing page where they can accept it, exchange it for something else in the marketplace, or take its value as a donation to charity, and they enter their own delivery address to claim it. Campaigns are organized under teams with value caps, expiry dates, curated gift lists and controls over who may send, and the platform supports one to one gifting, batch prospecting sends and numbered redemption cards for events. Integrations connect it to customer record and sales engagement systems, with reporting tying gift activity to pipeline. The distinctive mechanic is personalization research. The vendor states in its recipient help material that it accesses a recipient's public social profiles, usually including a professional network, two general social networks and a visual discovery platform, and combines that with the name, email and company details the sending customer supplies, in order to match a gift to that person's interests outside work. Two commitments in the privacy policy shape what a buyer and a recipient are each getting. A recipient's home address and telephone number are never passed to the sending customer, and recipient information is not made available to any customer other than the one who sent that gift. Set against those, the same policy states that personal information about gift recipients may be shared with third party advertising networks, exchanges and social media platforms so the vendor can serve its own advertising elsewhere. Sendoso acquired Alyce in February 2024 through an asset purchase. The product continues to sell on its own domain under its own name with its own help center and support address, and the site title carries the acquirer as a suffix. No price is published.

Postal
Postal is a corporate gifting and direct mail platform for revenue and people teams. Customers send physical gifts, branded swag, electronic gift cards, direct mail and virtual experiences from a curated marketplace, either one to one or through a shareable link carrying a single item or a collection, and can trigger sends automatically from events in a connected record system such as a renewal or a work anniversary. Warehousing, pick and pack, international fulfillment and a company branded storefront sit alongside the marketplace, and an in house creative agency designs custom items. The mechanism a buyer should understand is the acceptance step. Recipients are notified by email or by link that a gift is waiting and enter their own shipping address to accept it, so the sender never needs to hold a home address and nothing ships to a stale one. The vendor states it charges only for gifts a recipient accepts, which is the largest cost in this category. Sendoso acquired Postal on 30 April 2025. The product still sells under its own name on its own domain, with a free single user tier reached from the site navigation and a quoted paid tier above it, and the homepage carries a banner announcing the acquisition. The integration is partway done and it shows in the legal footer: the subprocessor list is hosted on the acquirer's domain, while the footer offers two separate terms documents whose addresses differ, the primary one marked as superseded in its own address. A buyer should establish which document governs before signing. No price is published at any level. The pricing page shows one plan, a feature list and a route to a sales conversation, and does not mention the free tier that the site navigation offers.

RollWorks
RollWorks was renamed AdRoll ABM in August 2025, when NextRoll unified its brands under the AdRoll name. The vendor states that the product, the login, the campaign data, the packaging and the contracts were unchanged by the rename, and that no customer needed to re sign. Both names are in use today: rollworks.com continues to serve product and pricing pages under the RollWorks name, carrying a copyright line four years stale, while current marketing, legal and trust material sits under the AdRoll brand as AdRoll ABM. Account based marketing platform built on top of an advertising network, sold to business to business marketing teams who want account identification, buying signals and paid media in one place. The platform builds target account lists, scores accounts for fit against an ideal customer profile, layers intent signals over them, identifies anonymous companies and contacts arriving on the customer's website, and then activates all of it as advertising across display, social, video, connected television, digital out of home and advertising placements inside an assistant product. Workflows push accounts and contacts into the customer's record system and marketing automation platform, and a signal the vendor calls Spike automatically emails a sales representative when an account they own starts showing buying interest. The advertising is the differentiator and the constraint. The vendor runs its own demand side platform rather than reselling someone else's, which is why the product reaches inventory beyond a single social network, and it also means media is bought at a variable rate that sits outside the platform subscription. A customer therefore has two budgets rather than one. Three named systems carry the machine learning: a bidding engine the vendor states makes more than 2.5 trillion predictions a day, an audience insight engine for the account based product, and a set of assistant agents that recommend and execute discrete tasks. A connector for assistant tooling is published in beta, letting a marketer create campaigns, retrieve account intelligence and pull reporting from inside an external assistant, with two named assistants listed as compatible. Launched in 2018 as a business unit of NextRoll, which dates to 2006. Intent data is supplied in part through a named partnership with Bombora, which is separately recorded in this index.

Reachdesk
Global gifting and direct mail platform for revenue and people teams, positioned on international reach. Sends are triggered one to one, in bulk from a list, or automatically from a customer record event, and fulfilled from a marketplace the vendor states carries four thousand six hundred physical gifts across more than one hundred and eighty countries alongside three thousand eight hundred electronic gift options across more than one hundred and seventy, with a separate integration routing millions of items through a large online retailer for recipients in two markets. Warehousing, kitting, bundling and handwritten note production are handled by the vendor. One design decision distinguishes it from others in this category. Rather than the sender supplying a recipient's address, the platform asks the recipient for it: an email, a link or a branded page invites the person to confirm or update where they would like the gift sent, which the vendor promotes both as a way to reach people working from home and as a way for a customer to run gifting without holding home addresses at all. Recipients of an electronic gift may choose a different one or donate its value to charity. The category placement follows the closest honest home rule. Nothing here sequences outreach in the sense the sales engagement editorial describes, and no other category fits better; what the product does is execute a touch inside a revenue campaign. Account based marketing is carried as a secondary because campaign and account programs are a stated primary use case. Founded in London by four named founders and now headquartered in New York, with further operations in London and Lisbon. The company has raised approximately forty nine million dollars across two rounds. A caution on the founding year: the vendor's own funding announcements give 2018 in one and 2019 in another, and 2018 is recorded here because it matches both the earlier announcement and the project brief.

S
Sendoso
Corporate gifting and direct mail platform, and the largest in its category by some distance. Revenue teams use it to trigger a physical send from a campaign or a customer record event: a gift, branded merchandise, an electronic gift card, direct mail or an experience, selected and addressed automatically, fulfilled from warehouses the vendor operates, and tracked to delivery in the same dashboard the campaign runs in. The vendor states it has processed more than fifteen million sends for more than eight hundred customers. Most of what the product does is logistics rather than software. Warehousing, sourcing, packaging, carriers, customs and international fulfillment sit underneath the sending workflow, and the reviewer commentary that matters most concerns whether items arrive on time, intact and correctly customized. The category placement follows the closest honest home rule. Nothing here sequences or sends outreach in the sense the sales engagement editorial describes, and the product does not fit the other eleven categories better. What it does is execute a touch in a revenue campaign, which is why it sits here, with account based marketing carried as a secondary because campaign and account programs are the vendor's stated primary use case. The company has consolidated its own market. Sendoso acquired Alyce in February 2024, and Sendoso acquired Postal on 30 April 2025, alongside a merchandise sourcing business. The two acquisitions are in different states and a buyer comparing them should know which. Alyce no longer trades under its own name and its recipient interest capability now feeds this platform's recommendation layer. Postal continues to sell under its own brand, with its own interface aimed at smaller teams and people operations, its own trust surface and its own entry pricing, so a buyer evaluating that product is evaluating something distinct from this one. Founded 2016 in San Francisco. The company raised more than one hundred and sixty million dollars, and independent reporting describes several rounds of redundancies since 2023 with headcount down materially year on year.

Chili Piper
Inbound conversion platform built around the moment a prospect raises their hand. A visitor completes a web form, and the product qualifies them, enriches the record, matches them to the right representative by territory, ownership or round robin rules, and offers a calendar slot before they leave the page. Around that core sit routing for any customer record object, handoff scheduling between development and account teams, automated chat, re-engagement flows for people who abandoned a form or missed a meeting, and a scheduling link product included with every seat. The category placement follows the closest honest home rule rather than an obvious fit, and a reader should know that. The sales engagement editorial describes platforms that sequence and send multichannel outreach, and this product sequences nothing and sends no campaigns. It sits here because the alternative categories fit worse: the pipeline of record belongs to the connected customer record system rather than to this product, and the intent and account identification capability is a gated upper tier feature that depends on the customer holding a relationship with a separate intent provider. What this platform governs is the inbound execution layer, and sales engagement is the closest of the twelve. Commercially the vendor is mid transition. It states on its own pricing page that new tiers are rolling out and that existing customers will hear from their account team about what changes and when. The previous structure sold four modules separately at a per user rate plus a platform fee scaling with lead volume; the current one sells two annual tiers with seats and artificial intelligence credits bundled. Most third party pricing summaries still describe the superseded model, and the two are not comparable. Founded 2016 with headquarters recorded as New York. Both come from the project brief and neither was independently confirmed on this pass.

Vector
Contact level identification and advertising platform sold as two products. The first identifies individual visitors to a customer's website by name, title, company and professional profile, and pushes them into connected record systems. The second turns those identified individuals into advertising audiences that refresh as behavior changes, and syncs them to several major advertising platforms so campaigns reach named people rather than anonymous retargeting pools or whole accounts. The identification method is disclosed in more detail than any comparable record in this index. The vendor states that it operates a network of publishers who collect and share first party data in the form of hashed email addresses and associated device fingerprint information, that when a visitor arrives it examines only the device fingerprint to look for a match in a pre existing identity graph, and that it does not use form fills or third party cookies. It also states that it restricts the technology to jurisdictions where an implied opt in basis applies, that a customer may place it behind a consent management platform, and that a customer's own visitors are not contributed back into the shared pool. The record sits in intent and signals because the identification layer is the entry product and the foundation of the other, which matches the two sibling visitor identification records already in this category. Contact level advertising is carried as a secondary rather than the primary, though a reader should note the vendor repositioned during late 2025 to drop sales and outbound use cases and address demand generation instead, which moves it toward the advertising category over time. Founded 2022 in Boston by two former colleagues from a conversational marketing company. Funding reports conflict: one account gives a ten million dollar round led by a venture firm with corporate participation in 2026, another from the same publisher gives sixty one million raised in 2025, and neither was confirmed on this pass.

Q
Qualified
Inbound agent platform built around a named agent the vendor sells as a sales development representative. It engages website visitors in real time through chat, voice and generated video, answers product questions, qualifies against firmographic and intent criteria, books meetings and follows up by email. The vendor calls the category agentic marketing and states its focus is inbound pipeline generation rather than outbound prospecting. The architecture is what separates it from the visitor identification products indexed alongside it. The vendor states that the visitor's email address is the identifying data point used to retrieve that person's record from the customer's own connected record platform, with firmographic enrichment layered on top from suppliers named in its subprocessor list. Most person level data therefore originates with the customer rather than with a purchased identity graph, which is a materially lighter provenance and privacy footprint than covert deanonymization carries. Salesforce acquired Qualified on 1 April 2026. The site footer now carries a Salesforce copyright and corporate address, and the terms of service, contact and responsible disclosure routes point to Salesforce properties. The product surface remains independent and current: its own pricing page with its own three tiers, its own sign in, its own trust center, a subprocessor list carrying a June 2026 effective date, its own status page and a 2026 customer event. The invalidating event that would stop a product being gradeable has not occurred here, so this record grades the product as it is sold today under its own brand and carries the acquisition as context rather than grading through it. Founded 2018 and headquartered in San Francisco. The vendor publishes a page addressed to artificial intelligence assistants setting out how it would like to be described, including a section of suggested key strengths for an assistant to reference. That page is the source for the founding year and headquarters recorded here, and its existence is itself worth a reader knowing about.

Demandbase
Account based go to market platform for enterprise B2B teams, sold as Demandbase One. The product identifies which companies are visiting and researching, scores them for fit and buying stage, detects the buying group inside them, and then activates through advertising, website personalization, sales intelligence and orchestration into the customer's own systems. An agent layer marketed as Agentbase sits across it for campaign optimization, account summarization and audience building. The distinguishing asset is the advertising layer. Demandbase operates its own demand side platform for programmatic display, video and connected television aimed at named accounts, which no other major platform in this category runs itself. That keeps advertising delivery, intent and account data in one system and makes closed loop attribution native rather than assembled, and independent analysis reports the associated media costs run above standard programmatic rates. The platform is the product of consolidation. Engagio brought orchestration, InsideView brought sales intelligence and contact data, and DemandMatrix brought technographics, and all three were folded into the single platform rather than kept as separate products. None of the three is separately indexed here. Founded 2006 in San Francisco.

6sense
Account based intent and predictive platform for B2B revenue teams. The product identifies accounts researching a category before they identify themselves, scores them by fit and buying stage against models the vendor says are built per customer, and activates against them through digital advertising, audience building, web personalization and AI email agents that write and send outreach. Two suites sit on the same signal layer, Revenue Marketing for marketing teams and Sales Intelligence for sellers, alongside a conversational assistant, a model context protocol server and productized data interfaces. The signal layer is the differentiator and the vendor calls it Signalverse, claiming one trillion signals processed daily across proprietary intent, first party customer data and third party feeds, with named integrations to Bombora, TechTarget, TrustRadius and G2. Intent is matched to companies rather than to named individuals, and the privacy policy states the vendor does not reverse engineer those identifiers to identify a person. 6sense is a registered data broker in California and identifies itself as one under Texas law. It sells business contact records from its Business Database on a subscription basis and discloses the categories it sells. A buyer should treat the data broker status as a feature of the model rather than a footnote, and should ask how the opt out list the vendor publishes weekly to customer administrators will be handled inside their own systems.

Tower CRM
Tower CRM ships pre-configured for a named industry rather than asking a buyer to build their own data model, and that is the whole idea. A customer picks a mode at signup. Insurance mode arrives with policy fields, expiry date tracking, renewal automations, cross sell pipelines and multi policy household structures already in place. Real estate mode arrives with listing stages, buyer pipelines, commission tracking and showing follow ups. A third mode is a clean general purpose configuration for any business team. The vendor's framing is one click, no setup, no consultant, no bloat. Those are data model differences rather than template swaps, and they address the specific reason vertical teams abandon general record systems: the fields they need do not exist and the ones that do get ignored. Marketing is included rather than sold alongside. Email campaigns, automation workflows with enrollment triggers and sequences, web analytics and attribution all sit in the base product with no separate subscription. At the upper paid tier the integrations get specific to the vertical: live policy and account synchronization with a named insurance agency management system, and call transcription with generated summary notes from two named dialer platforms. Pricing is published in full and charged per workspace rather than per user, with seat counts attached to each tier. The company is based in San Diego and was founded this year. It is candid about that stage, offering founder led onboarding to early customers and locking founding pricing for them. Its positioning is visibly mid change: page titles now lead with insurance while the footer still describes a general product for high growth teams.

SalesExec is lead management software for sales teams and call centers working purchased and inbound leads at volume. Leads arrive from hundreds of integrated providers, web forms and inbound calls, are deduplicated and verified, then prioritized and distributed by configurable rules including shotgun, round robin and a pull model where representatives request the next best lead rather than choosing from a list. Outbound runs through a power dialer that sequences by lead heat, age, time zone and state calling rules, with local presence dialing, pre recorded voicemail drops, transfer, scripts and appointment booking. Inbound is handled by call capture and routing across skill, state, postal code and keypress, with queues, overflow monitoring and recording. Email and text marketing run nurture and drip sequences with templates, opt out handling and delivery tracking to the receiving provider. Reporting covers cost per acquisition by lead source, lead penetration rate over the first day or two, contact rate by response time, talk time, abandonment and scoreboards. SalesExec is one of three ClickPoint products, alongside LeadExec for lead distribution and LeadPI, an independent performance index rating lead providers. This record covers SalesExec only; several of the company's strongest compliance assets, including a dynamic consent product for federal one to one consent rules, belong to the sibling products. ClickPoint operates from Phoenix, hosts on Microsoft Azure, publishes a separate system status page per product, and states more than fourteen thousand users.

Agents are grounded on a knowledge base covering opening hours, policies and frequently asked questions, and templates are provided per use case. Around the inbox sit a phone system with call flows, interactive voice response and custom routing, drag and drop automations, marketing flows for text campaigns, and a marketplace of built in apps covering reviews, payments, appointments, a social planner, a team leaderboard and webhooks. The buyer is unmistakable from the integration list, which reads as a catalog of vertical operational systems: legal practice management, field service, roofing, home improvement, pest control, spa and salon booking, tours, hospitality, and several retail point of sale and shipping platforms. Reviews come from medical spa and roofing operators. A separately priced extra location line confirms multi site local businesses as the target. Pricing is modular and published, with a permanently free tier, usage rates to the cent, and support response times stated per tier. QuickProsp
Cold email platform built around sending infrastructure rather than around the sequencer, bundling warmup, deliverability tooling, model written personalization, a unified inbox, a pipeline and marketing broadcasts into one workspace priced without per seat or per mailbox charges. Mailboxes connect through delegated authorization for the two major business providers or through standard mail protocols for anything else, and every one enters a private twenty one day warmup pool that ramps from five to forty messages a day before campaigns run. Deliverability tooling is unusually specific: daily audits across four record types, spam word scoring, spam folder scanning for bounces, per mailbox reputation scoring, rotation with daily caps, and automatic stopping on reply, bounce or absence reply. The research agent reads a prospect's company website and recent news, surfaces a confidence level and source count, and skips the contact rather than inventing a hook when nothing genuine is found, running on the customer's own provider key across three named model vendors. Domains and mailboxes can be purchased and provisioned in one action. The programmatic surface is the deepest in its category: more than one hundred endpoints available on every plan including the free tier, signed webhooks on every event, and a protocol server that lets external assistants drive campaigns conversationally. Built for agencies with unlimited isolated client workspaces and four scoped roles.

The product is a conventional pipeline, contact and deal manager with automation, email drip campaigns, lead forms, electronic signature, reporting and a project management module for tracking delivery after the close, all included rather than sold as additions. What distinguishes it is the vertical specificity: route planning and map views built for representatives who drive to sites, and thirteen dedicated industry pages running to a granularity nothing else in this index attempts, with separate pages for fencing, flooring, painting and landscaping contractors alongside manufacturing, logistics, wholesale, property development and financial services. The stated target is teams of five to fifty people, and the vendor says plainly which buyers should choose a competitor instead. A mail assistant is metered by writing prompts per tier. Email validation, data enrichment and a connection product are the three paid additions. Onboarding is optional and separately priced, migration is included, and every tier carries a published allowance table down to how many exports each user may run per month.

Pipedrive
Long established pipeline first system of record built around the visual deal board, sold to small and mid sized revenue teams rather than enterprises, and one of the most widely deployed products in this index. The pipeline is the product: deals move through stages a team defines, activities attach to them, mail synchronizes two ways, and automation removes the data entry between. A model layer sits on top as an assistant that answers questions about the account's own data, predicts win probability, recommends the next action, summarizes long mail threads and drafts context aware replies, with the higher tiers adding generation features. Lead generation, document handling, project management, campaign sending and website visitor tracking are sold as separately priced additions rather than bundled. The tier structure was renamed and repriced during 2026, replacing a five step ladder with four, which has left much of the independent directory layer describing plans that no longer exist. Commercially and legally the vendor discloses more than almost anything of its size: published per plan usage ceilings including on the top tier, a published processing addendum, a published sub processor list, separate supplemental terms governing the model features, and a European contracting entity so that European customer data stays inside the European economic area.

Its deepest investment is the sending layer, which it has operated on wholly internal infrastructure rather than a third party relay for more than two decades, staffed by an in house postmaster team, with sender authentication and custom sending domains available on every plan rather than reserved for higher tiers. An assistant layer now runs inside the automation builder with access to account data, and the vendor names its model providers in its published sub processor list. Nine industry pages, six buyer role pages and two company stage pages describe the market it sells to in unusual detail.

Nine marks presented as customers are integration logos whose own filenames say so, the seven testimonials are sequentially numbered theme demo assets carrying truncated placeholder copy and two duplicated pairs, the customer count appears twice on the same site differing by a factor of two hundred and fifty, the advertised annual saving matches none of the three tiers when the arithmetic is done, every purchase button is a dead anchor, and the single question the site asks about whether customer data is safe is answered with a statement about device compatibility.

Clickback
Clickback Inc. sells the thing most email platforms refuse to touch: bulk campaigns to cold and purchased business lists. Its copyright notice runs from 2000, it operates from St. Catharines in Ontario, and it reports more than a thousand customers including LexisNexis. Two products carry the business. Clickback MAIL, which the company brands Email Lead Generation, takes a list the customer bought or gathered without opt in, runs every contact through twenty to thirty hygiene and verification checks on import to strip bad addresses, spam traps, honeypots and moles, then sends the campaign from Clickback's own designated sending domains and internet addresses with an automated warmup process, so the customer's own domain reputation is never the thing at risk. The stated goal is conversion rather than the sale itself: a cold contact who engages becomes an opted in lead, which the customer then pushes into whatever CRM or marketing automation platform they already run. Clickback WEB, branded Website Visitor Intelligence, picks up the contacts who visited the site after a campaign without converting, so they can be tracked and nurtured rather than dropped. The compliance posture is enforced in the product rather than disclaimed in the terms: the platform detects and filters out Canadian and European addresses so campaigns stay clear of the consent regimes that would prohibit them, and the company states plainly that its software does not work for business to consumer lists. Pricing is published by monthly email volume across three tiers with an enterprise band on request, on a twelve month agreement.
