Alyce vs Sendoso (2026)

Last VerifiedOctober 13, 2026
Verdict

Buying here is a choice between two products from the same owner. Alyce, which Sendoso bought in February 2024 and still sells under its own name, is built around the recipient: a personalized invitation lets the person accept the gift, swap it for another from the marketplace or donate its value, and they type in their own delivery address. Sendoso is built around the sender's operation: campaign and CRM triggers, stored branded merchandise, its own fulfillment centers, Campaign Studio creative work and AI tools that suggest the gift and write the note. Alyce sizes its plans by gift invitations and research credits and keeps a recipient's home address from the sender. Sendoso publishes its shipping and handling rates, lists five plans from starter tiers with complimentary licenses up to enterprise, and sells a Policy Center and anti bribery controls for regulated recipients. Neither prints a license price. A program built on personal choice fits Alyce, and one that moves branded stock across regions fits Sendoso.

Select Alyce if
  • Recipients should be able to turn down a gift without awkwardness. Alyce lets them swap it from the marketplace or give its value to charity.
  • Reps should never hold prospects' home addresses. Alyce collects the address at claim time and does not pass it, or a phone number, to the sender.
  • Field teams want gifts at events without shipping boxes. Alyce issues numbered redemption cards that attendees claim later.
Select Sendoso if
  • The company owns branded merchandise that needs storing, kitting and shipping. Sendoso holds it in its own fulfillment centers and ships at published rates.
  • Gifts should fire from CRM and campaign events. Sendoso triggers sends from those events, with an MCP server and a REST API for custom flows.
  • Compliance wants controls on gifts to public officials and regulated recipients. Sendoso sells a Policy Center and anti bribery controls on its upper plans.

The short version of each

Alyce

Alyce gives the person receiving a business gift the final say. A sender picks a gift and the recipient opens a personalized landing page where they accept it, exchange it for something else in the marketplace or donate its value to charity, then enter their own delivery address. Teams set value caps, expiry dates, curated gift lists and who may send, and gifts go out one to one, in batches or as numbered redemption cards at events. Alyce's research reads public social profiles to suggest gifts that match interests outside work. The GTM Tech Index grades Alyce B on autonomy and oversight for those layered campaign controls, and B on data stewardship because recipient data is never offered to other customers. Plans are sized by gift invitations and research credits, and Sendoso has owned Alyce since February 2024.

Sendoso

Sendoso runs the physical side of gifting for revenue teams. Campaigns and CRM events trigger sends of gifts, eGifts, direct mail and branded merchandise, which Sendoso sources, stores, kits and ships from its own fulfillment centers in several countries, with delivery tracked in the same dashboard. SmartSend and SmartMessage suggest the gift and write the note, and Advanced and Enterprise add the full SmartSuite and the AI agent Oso. The GTM Tech Index grades Sendoso B on ecosystem depth for its integrations, documented API and MCP server, and C on commercial transparency because plans are quoted even though shipping and handling follow published rate tables. Enterprise adds a Policy Center, anti bribery controls and every fulfillment region. Sendoso states more than 15 million sends for more than 800 customers.

Buyer Questions

Common questions

Does Sendoso own Alyce?

Yes. Sendoso bought Alyce through an asset purchase announced on 1 February 2024, and Alyce still sells under its own name as Alyce by Sendoso, with its own site, help center and support address. A buyer comparing them is choosing between two workflows from one company: Alyce's recipient choice invitations and Sendoso's campaign triggered sending with owned fulfillment. Graded by GTM Tech Index against seventeen capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

How are Alyce and Sendoso plans priced?

Neither prints a license price, and the GTM Tech Index grades both C on commercial transparency. Alyce sizes three plans by allotted gift invitations and research credits, 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 of each, with cheaper invitations on the larger plans and unlimited users throughout. Sendoso lists five plans from Start With Merch and Start With Gifting, each with five complimentary licenses and no spend commitment, up to Enterprise, and publishes shipping and handling rate tables, such as $10 plus $0.85 per extra item to handle a send above 10 items.

Who sees the recipient's home address with Alyce or Sendoso?

With Alyce, the recipient enters the address when claiming the gift, and Alyce's policy keeps home addresses and phone numbers from the sending customer, while the same policy allows recipient information to be shared with advertising networks for Alyce's own ads. Sendoso ships physical goods from its own warehouses, so the address goes to the fulfillment center and the carrier, including carriers abroad on international sends. Graded by GTM Tech Index against seventeen capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

How do Alyce and Sendoso choose the gift?

Alyce's research reads a recipient's public profiles on a professional network, two general social networks and a visual discovery platform, then matches a gift to interests outside work, and the recipient can still swap it. The GTM Tech Index grades Alyce B on recipient disclosure because a dedicated help page tells recipients this happens. Sendoso's SmartSend and SmartMessage suggest the gift and write the note, with the full SmartSuite and the AI agent Oso on Advanced and Enterprise. Neither names the model behind its suggestions.

Which connects more deeply to CRM and sales tools?

Sendoso does. The GTM Tech Index grades it B on ecosystem and integration depth, for CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement and conversation intelligence connections, a documented REST API, an MCP server listed on the Databricks Marketplace and the fulfillment network underneath. Alyce sits at C on the same axis, and its Growth plan adds Salesforce and marketing automation integration so reps can gift from inside Salesforce.
