Postal vs Reachdesk (2026)

Last VerifiedOctober 13, 2026
Verdict

A team sending gifts across regions, wanting a published starting price and spend limits by user and team, is the Reachdesk buyer; a team wanting gifting, swag storefronts and event logistics on one quoted plan, paying only for accepted gifts, is the Postal buyer. Both let the recipient choose or confirm the delivery address, so the sender never holds a home address. Reachdesk prints plans from $20,000 a year, with Core, Plus and Premium adding users, gifting territories and fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia, and backs the first year with a 5x pipeline guarantee or the customer's money back. Postal, owned by Sendoso since April 2025, sells First Class as an annual platform fee plus the cost of goods, drawn from a prepaid balance. Reachdesk caps what each user and team can spend through budgets and wallets, while Postal's automated sends from CRM events are bounded by the funded balance. Reachdesk also offers its SOC 2 Type II report on request, and Postal publishes no security document.

Select Postal if
  • The team wants to pay only for gifts recipients accept, funded from a prepaid balance topped up by card or invoice.
  • Branded storefronts, trade show event management and custom swag from an in house agency should sit in one plan.
  • Sends should fire automatically from CRM events such as renewals or work anniversaries.
Select Reachdesk if
  • Gifts ship across the Americas, EMEA and APAC from local warehouses, with customs handled by the vendor.
  • Finance wants team budgets, per user sending limits and regional wallets in place before reps can send.
  • Procurement needs a published starting price and a SOC 2 Type II report before the first call.

In Summary

The short version of each

Postal

Postal is a gifting and direct mail platform that Sendoso acquired in April 2025 and still sells under its own name. Teams send physical gifts, branded swag, eGift cards, direct mail and virtual experiences one to one or through a shareable link, and sends can fire automatically from CRM events such as a renewal or a work anniversary. Recipients accept by entering their own address, and Postal charges only for gifts that are accepted. First Class covers unlimited sends and virtual events, branded storefronts, global warehousing with pick, pack and kitting, trade show event management, unlimited integrations and a dedicated success manager, with custom swag made by its Paper Plane agency. The GTM Tech Index grades Postal D on commercial transparency, since its pricing page shows First Class with a feature list and a call to talk to sales but no figure.

Reachdesk

Reachdesk is a global gifting and swag platform with warehouses in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia and a marketplace that reaches more than 180 countries. Recipients confirm or update their own delivery address before anything ships, and sends run one to one, in bulk or from CRM events. Plans start at $20,000 a year: Core, Plus and Premium include 5, 10 and 15 users, one to three gifting territories with the eGift card store and one to three fulfillment centers, with goods, shipping and storage charged on top. Team budgets, user sending limits, wallets by team or region and spend monitoring control what leaves the account. The GTM Tech Index grades Reachdesk B on security certifications, since its Vanta trust center offers the SOC 2 Type II report for 2024 to 2025 and a 2026 bridge letter on request.

Buyer Questions

Common questions

How much do Postal and Reachdesk cost?

Reachdesk plans start at $20,000 a year, with Core, Plus and Premium sized by users, gifting territories and fulfillment centers, and only the starting price is printed; goods, shipping, customs and warehouse storage are billed on top, and swag orders carry a $2,500 minimum. Postal publishes no figure for First Class. It explains the bill as an annual platform fee plus the cost of goods, varying with company size, users and teams, with gift spend drawn from a prepaid balance and charged only when a recipient accepts. The GTM Tech Index places Reachdesk at B and Postal at D for commercial transparency.

Can Postal or Reachdesk limit what each rep spends on gifts?

Reachdesk publishes the fuller set of controls: team budgets, sending limits per user, wallets that hold funds for a team or region, spend monitoring across departments and regions, role based permissions, single sign on and separate workspaces by team and region. Postal bounds spending with its prepaid balance, so an automated send rule cannot spend more than has been funded, but it publishes no per user cap or approval step for those rule triggered sends. For autonomy and oversight, Reachdesk holds a B in the GTM Tech Index and Postal a C.

Which ships gifts internationally, Postal or Reachdesk?

Reachdesk is built for it, with warehouses in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU and Australia, a marketplace reaching more than 180 countries and Amazon marketplace sending in the US, the UK and the EU; each plan adds gifting territories across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, and prices vary with shipping origin and destination. Postal lists global warehousing and international fulfillment on First Class without publishing which countries it ships to or from. Both ask the recipient for the address, which keeps undeliverable sends down across borders. Graded by GTM Tech Index against seventeen capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

What happens to stored swag and unspent gift funds if we leave Postal or Reachdesk?

Neither publishes an answer. Reachdesk stores customer owned merchandise in its warehouses and holds funds in wallets, and nothing published says who owns leftover stock at termination, whether it is shipped back and at whose cost, or how unspent wallet balances are returned. Postal's dashboard lets a customer delete recipient lists and order history, but it publishes no export route and nothing on refunding a prepaid balance. Exit and data portability sits at C for both in the GTM Tech Index.

Do Postal and Reachdesk publish security certifications?

Reachdesk does. Its Vanta trust center lists SOC 2 Type I and Type II and GDPR and offers the SOC 2 Type II report for August 2024 to September 2025, a May 2026 bridge letter, a penetration test retest and a disaster recovery test on request, and its FAQ places data on AWS in Ireland with encryption in transit and at rest. Postal's security and compliance link leads to its home page, and its legal section carries policies and terms but no security document. The GTM Tech Index grades Reachdesk B and Postal D on security certifications and trust center.

Disclosure

Both platforms contact recipients to collect a delivery address and send on behalf of a named person at the customer's company. Reachdesk's assistant researches a recipient's public career, education and interests to write a personal note, and neither vendor publishes what a recipient is told about that research or about the tracking of their response. Sendoso owns Postal, as it owns Alyce.
