Cleanlist
Cleanlist is a B2B enrichment and prospecting platform that runs a waterfall across more than 25 contracted data providers instead of keeping its own contact database. Emails are tried in a set order through providers such as IcyPeas, Crustdata, LeadMagic, Wiza, Prospeo, Findymail and Hunter and validated before delivery, phones follow a similar chain, and people search covers a stated billion profiles drawn from licensed providers. Accounts and leads can be scored against an ideal customer profile from 0 to 100, and a Chrome extension works one LinkedIn profile or Sales Navigator lead at a time.
Clu, the built in GTM agent, turns a one sentence request into an agent with a trigger and a set of steps, and twelve prebuilt agents cover jobs such as tracking champions who change jobs, researching accounts and cleaning up CRM duplicates. Agents can create and update HubSpot and Salesforce records, write research and first lines, and enroll people into Cleanlist sequences that send email from reps' own inboxes and LinkedIn invitations and messages, or into lemlist, Outreach and Salesloft. Spending, sending and switching agents on all require a confirmation card in chat, CRM writes default to filling empty fields only, and an API and an MCP server in beta open the same functions to other tools.
A free plan covers 50 credits for up to three seats, Starter costs $49 a seat a month and Pro $89, or $37 and $67 billed annually, with an email costing one credit and a phone number ten, and Enterprise priced on request. Cleanlist AI Inc. is based in Toronto and was founded in 2024 by chief executive Levon Adamyan, formerly head of GTM operations at Float, with Sal Anvarov and Victor Paraschiv. It sells to SaaS, fintech, HR technology and services teams of 10 to 200 or more people, with Float, Warp and Proposify among its case studies.

Clu turns a single sentence into an agent with a trigger and steps, agents research accounts, qualify leads and write first lines, and the product is pitched as agents that run go to market work. Enrichment itself is a waterfall of contracted providers rather than model output, and ICP scoring is described as rule based, so the data layer would still work without the agents.
In chat, every credit spend, export, deletion, sequence change and agent switch needs a confirmation card that shows the cost and expires after ten minutes, each batch of up to 2,500 sends needs its own card, and Clu does not write to the CRM from chat. Active agents run unattended, an approval step is optional, and running a play manually spends credits, writes to the CRM and sends messages even while it is switched off.
CRM writes default to filling empty fields, never write blanks and skip rep owned records and open deals, test runs preview everything, duplicate merges are reviewed by default, and Salesforce merges can be partly restored for 15 days while HubSpot merges cannot be undone.
OpenAI and Anthropic are named as subprocessors and are contractually barred from training on the data, and ICP scoring is rule based. No model is named for Clu or the agents, and whether recipients are told that a first line was written by AI is not addressed.
Float reports 30 percent larger deals, 50 percent more rep volume and five tools replaced, Warp's call pickup rate rose from 8 to 13 percent, and Proposify reports twice the inbound deals and 30 percent better conversion, all without baselines or periods. The chief executive previously ran GTM operations at Float, a tie the Float story leaves undisclosed. A benchmark of 500 leads showing 98 percent verified emails and 85 percent direct dials was run by Cleanlist itself without naming the providers compared, and the provider count runs from 15 to 25.
Legitimate interest is the stated basis, Global Privacy Control signals are honored and suppression is promised across production, caches, provider refreshes and future imports. In practice removal is a manual request with no prospect level block against enrichment, records may be sourced again, and no data broker registration is stated. Honoring CRM Do Not Call flags is optional with no registry scrub, CAN-SPAM is named in the terms, and sequences leave the unsubscribe link for the customer to add by hand.
Privacy terms and a DPA set Cleanlist as processor for customer data and independent controller for some business contact data, commit to breach notice within 72 hours and rely on EU standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum. A subprocessor list names Railway, Vercel, Neon, Azure, Temporal, Clerk, Stripe, Intercom, PostHog, Sentry, OpenAI and Anthropic among others, with new subprocessors announced in advance and open to objection, though processing regions are not given per entry.
Cleanlist owns no contact database and draws on more than 25 contracted providers, running email lookups in the order IcyPeas, Crustdata, LeadMagic, Wiza, Prospeo, Findymail, AnyMailFinder, Hunter and Datagma, phones through a chain led by Crustdata, and validation through Emailable and ClearoutPhone. People search is powered by Crustdata.
How those upstream providers collect their data, and whether Cleanlist stands behind it contractually, is not addressed, and results enriched in the past 30 days are served from cache without being checked again.
The Chrome extension reads only the tab's address, works one LinkedIn profile or Sales Navigator lead at a time and does not read page content, and Sales Navigator lists come in only as CSV uploads. On Pro, sequence steps visit LinkedIn profiles and send invitations and messages from the connected account, capped by default at 20 invitations, 40 messages and 80 visits a day, and agents can enroll people into those steps. Nothing addresses LinkedIn's terms, even though Cleanlist's own terms bar customers from automating third party platforms.
The terms commit that Cleanlist does not train on customer data or business contact data, the DPA extends that to all customer data, and OpenAI and Anthropic are contractually barred from training on it. After termination customers have 30 days to export before data is deleted or deidentified, while general retention is tied to purpose without fixed periods.
Sequences send email from reps' own Gmail or Outlook accounts and LinkedIn invitations and messages, and agents can fill in a first line written for each person. Whether recipients are told when text was written by AI is not addressed, and no position on Article 50 of the EU AI Act is taken.
HubSpot contacts and companies and Salesforce contacts, leads and accounts connect by OAuth on Pro and above, with writes going one way into the CRM and CRM data returning through imports and polling. Sequences hand off to lemlist, Outreach and Salesloft, and Slack, Google, Airtable, Notion and Fathom connect too.
The API uses scoped keys at 60 requests a minute per organization, webhooks exist only on the older version, and an MCP server in beta lists 23 tools with approval on writes, though which plans include it varies.
The service runs on Railway, Vercel, Neon Postgres, Azure Blob storage and Temporal Cloud, with processing in Canada, the US and the EEA. Regions for each service are given only on request, and no residency choice is offered.
The DPA states that Cleanlist does not currently hold ISO 27001 certification or a SOC 2 report. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, staff use multi factor sign in and role based access, and SAML single sign on is limited to Enterprise, while no trust center or uptime commitment is offered.
A free plan gives 50 credits for up to three seats, Starter costs $49 a seat a month or $37 annually with 750 credits per seat, and Pro costs $89 or $67 with 1,500 credits per seat plus agents, CRM sync, the API and LinkedIn steps, with a 14 day trial. An email costs one credit, a phone number ten and a lead qualification five, sends are free, credits roll over, top ups never expire and there is no overage billing. Refunds are decided case by case.
There is no fixed term, plans renew automatically and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period, with unused credits surviving cancellation. Customers have 30 days after termination to export their data before it is deleted, while rights to enriched records after that are not addressed. Ontario law and courts govern, and liability is capped at twelve months of fees.
Emails are validated for syntax, domain and mailbox, catch all addresses are flagged rather than guessed, disposable addresses are dropped and invalid results are never charged. Sequences send from one inbox per seat at 40 emails a day by default, up to 1,000, on weekdays between 9 and 6 and 20 minutes apart, but no warmup is described and no deliverability guarantee is offered.
SaaS, fintech, HR technology and services teams of 10 to more than 200 people are the stated buyers, with case studies from Float, Warp and Proposify. Geographic coverage is not stated, and the company's own benchmark sample leans toward North America.
