GMass
GMass turns Gmail into an email campaign workspace for sales teams, agencies and businesses that keep contact lists in Google Sheets. Senders compose in the familiar Gmail window, merge spreadsheet fields into each message and choose when a sequence should run. The Chrome extension adds campaign controls alongside the ordinary mailbox.
Follow ups can depend on replies, opens or clicks. Optional domain matching stops a company's other recipients when one colleague answers. Pausing new sends can leave existing follow ups active, and strict spacing keeps delays from compressing the remaining sequence. A retained Gmail draft lets the sender change later stages after a campaign starts.
The AI tools cover writing and analysis. ChatGPT generates draft campaigns and replies, SpinMax creates wording variations, and Spam Solver suggests delivery changes. Deep Analysis interprets campaign statistics and flags possible bot activity or delivery trouble. Reports include recipients, replies, bounces and clicks, with exports to CSV, Excel or Google Sheets.
Standard starts at $29.95 per month. Follow ups, API access and testing require Premium at $39.95 monthly; Professional at $59.95 adds inbox rotation. Annual subscriptions have lower total costs. Sending can use the connected Gmail account or an SMTP service, so the plan's unlimited email allowance does not remove the underlying provider's capacity rules.
The product suits teams that want detailed campaign controls without moving daily work out of Gmail. It supports customer supplied lists rather than a bundled prospect database. Unsubscribe handling includes optional team suppression and domain exclusions, but senders control key settings, including whether to add an unsubscribe link. Detailed report URLs also require care because possession of the link grants access to campaign information.

GMass is a Gmail mail merge and campaign tool first, with AI arranged around it. ChatGPT drafts campaign copy, follow up settings and replies at GMass's own API cost, SpinMax varies wording across recipients, and Spam Solver now suggests AI written fixes for reaching the inbox. A newer AI template builder produces custom HTML email layouts, and Deep Analysis reads finished campaign statistics. The sender still picks the audience, writes or approves the copy and launches the campaign. Personalization from Sheets, scheduling, conditional content, follow ups and reply tracking all run without generated text, so taking the AI away leaves a complete product.
A sender reviews the draft and campaign settings before launching automatic delivery. Follow up stages are unlimited, and strict spacing keeps a fixed number of days between stages even when an earlier send runs late. Replies and bounces are detected as they arrive, and reply conditions or optional domain matching end follow ups once someone engages.
Pausing the main campaign can leave existing follow ups running, so stopping new recipients does not necessarily stop a sequence already underway. Later stages stay editable after launch through the retained Gmail draft. Using Gmail's ordinary Send button instead of the GMass button can expose the whole recipient list.
OpenAI's ChatGPT is named as the engine for campaign drafting, reply assistance, wording variations and the AI template builder, though no model version, hosting region or retention period is given. GMass pays the API cost for these built in tools, so users never supply their own OpenAI key. Deep Analysis interprets campaign statistics through a separate AI workflow whose underlying model is unnamed. Spam Solver's AI suggestions sit alongside its rule based checks. Deep Analysis output groups findings by severity, from suspicious opens and clicks to bounces and delivery trouble, and suggests a remedy for each.
Jamout.ai, a Denver AI education and tools company, uses GMass for consulting leads, event invitations and member nurturing. Its customer story reports a 92.9% open rate on one campaign to more than 3,000 recipients, open rates as high as 96.9% on key campaigns, click through rates up to 67% with A/B testing, and more than ten hours saved each week through automated sequences. Google Sheets filters and conditional content tailored the invitations to different audiences. These are the customer's own figures, with no comparison group or measurement period, and open rates depend on tracking pixels that some mail clients load automatically.
Unsubscribe links add recipients to a suppression list used for future campaigns, and a file of unsubscribed addresses can be uploaded. Team accounts can view and manage unsubscribes and bounces across all members, but organization wide suppression stays optional and each teammate must enable it, while account settings also permit ignoring unsubscribes. Domain suppression includes subdomains, and exclusions can draw on past audiences or recent contact.
The sender decides whether to add an unsubscribe link at all. Under its anti spam policy, GMass staff monitor outbound mail around the clock and terminate campaigns matching spam or scam patterns, along with their accounts.
GMass stores the recipient addresses a customer sends to, behind two layers of firewalls, so it can track opens and clicks and run unsubscribes. It does not store message subjects or bodies: content passes through its servers only for the moment needed to add tracking, and the From address is the only campaign content kept. Account holders can request deletion of their data under GDPR.
Its list sharing commitments conflict, promising never to share lists while also permitting sharing with service providers and advertising platforms such as Google. International transfers have no named contractual safeguard, and customers collect consent and keep the supporting records themselves.
Audiences come from the customer: Google Sheets rows, existing Gmail conversations and engagement from earlier campaigns. GMass sells no licensed prospect database with the sending subscription. Its Email List Builder assembles addresses by searching the sender's own mailbox, and the Sheets connection can read merge fields and send automatically to new rows as they arrive.
Later audiences can be selected from opens, clicks, replies and prior campaign participation, and every address can be verified before sending. Because the lists are the customer's own, permission to contact each person rests with the customer.
GMass connects to Gmail and Google Sheets and markets sending beyond Gmail's own limits: campaigns can switch to a third party SMTP service, newer releases offer instant SMTP approval once a Gmail account hits its ceiling, and Professional spreads a campaign across several inboxes. GMass also runs its own SMTP service built on Google infrastructure.
The terms place Google account restrictions on the customer and state that GMass cannot reinstate a Google account that Google suspends or terminates. Native Gmail sending still depends on Google's capacity for that account.
Deep Analysis draws on training from email campaigns without saying whose campaigns supplied the material or excluding customer data from shared model development. The writing features send prompts into a managed ChatGPT integration with no stated retention or training terms. One boundary works in the customer's favor: GMass does not store message subjects or bodies, so campaign content passes through its servers without being kept. Senders edit generated drafts before launch and request report analysis from a campaign's results screen, where findings are grouped by severity.
Messages go out from the customer's own Gmail account and authorized sender identity, with personalization drawn from list fields or authored instructions. AI can write a first message, follow ups or responses to incoming email. GMass takes no public position on Article 50 of the EU AI Act and adds no default notice that a message was AI written. Opens are tracked with a pixel and clicks through rewritten links, with an optional custom tracking domain over SSL. The customer controls the final subject, message text and campaign audience, so any disclosure to recipients is the sender's choice.
Google Sheets supplies recipients and merge fields directly to campaigns and can trigger sends when new rows appear. The REST API creates lists and drafts, launches sends and retrieves recipients, opens, clicks, replies, unsubscribes and bounces, with key based authentication and defined errors for invalid credentials or identifiers. Webhooks push campaign events to other systems, and Zapier and the API arrive with Premium. Native CRM object synchronization is not part of the product, so CRM updates run through Zapier, webhooks or the API. Sent emails also become reusable templates for the sender and their team.
The product runs as a Chrome extension inside Gmail, with campaign processing on GMass servers. GMass identifies AWS hosting in the United States and offers no EU residency option. What sits on those servers is narrow: recipient addresses, engagement events and each campaign's From address, while subjects and bodies pass through without being stored. Google keeps the connected mailbox, the drafts and the sent messages. Campaign reports are also available in a separate web dashboard, and their detailed links can expose campaign data to anyone who holds the link.
SSL protects transfers between Gmail and GMass, two layers of firewalls surround the recipient database, and a Report Vulnerability link gives researchers a disclosure channel. GMass offers no SOC 2 report, ISO 27001 certificate or trust center on its site, so independent audit coverage of the service is unknown. Detailed campaign report links work as access credentials: anyone holding one can see its information. A separate shareable report strips recipient details, so a team can circulate campaign totals without distributing the full recipient view.
Standard costs $29.95 a month, Premium $39.95 and Professional $59.95 on monthly billing; annual billing lowers them to $20, $29 and $49 a month, or $249, $349 and $599 a year. Standard includes mail merge, verification, tracking links and Spam Solver. Premium adds follow up sequences, the API and Zapier, A/B testing and triggered emails. Professional adds inbox rotation and priority support. Separate team pricing covers groups of users. Every plan allows unlimited emails, a software entitlement that still runs within the mailbox provider's limits or the chosen SMTP configuration.
Campaign results download as CSV or Excel files or go straight to Google Sheets, and the API retrieves recipient and engagement records. Because GMass never stores message bodies, the drafts and sent messages already live in the customer's Gmail account, and source lists stay in the customer's own spreadsheets. Paid subscriptions renew monthly or annually until canceled through the prescribed cancellation flow; emailing support alone does not stop billing. The terms make no promise of a complete configuration export after termination. GDPR deletion requests cover the recipient data GMass does hold.
Address verification, Spam Solver and custom tracking domains help diagnose delivery problems before and during a campaign. GMass adds an inbox placement test that shows whether a message lands in Inbox, Spam or Promotions, domain statistics for open and bounce rates by recipient domain, a link checker, and SPF checks at send time. Strict follow up spacing keeps later stages from bunching when earlier sends are delayed.
A blocked address can be suppressed for the rest of the sequence or added to the bounce list for future campaigns. GMass offers no Google account warmup, and SMTP rerouting changes the sending path once mailbox capacity is reached.
GMass serves small sales teams, agencies, recruiters, educators and other organizations that already work in Gmail and Google Sheets, and says close to 400,000 businesses and professionals use it. Jamout.ai shows B2B consulting outreach and member communication running from one account. Team plans share campaign resources, templates and unsubscribe lists across users. Geographic targeting relies on the customer's own lists. Beyond cold outreach, the product sends newsletters and transactional email such as confirmations, and GMass, Inc. runs its own company email through it.
