Clevenio vs Säljmotorn (2026)

Verdict

The decision is what the model is for. At Clevenio it manufactures the data: large language models cross reference official business registers against public data across the web to decide which named person works at which company, and those matched records are pushed automatically into the customer's own system of record and refreshed continuously, with no confidence threshold below which a match is withheld and no accuracy figure published anywhere. The model's output is the inventory. At Säljmotorn the model helps the person work it. The assistant analyses the pipeline, prioritises the next step, drafts outreach and answers questions about the flow, and the vendor is careful to say that it advises rather than acts, with the human configuring the sequences, setting the timing and the conditions, and sending. Strip the assistant out and a working platform remains. Strip Clevenio's matching out and the differentiator is a free register download. Both name what they are doing, which is rarer than it sounds. They are doing different things.

Select Clevenio if
  • The records should arrive without anyone noticing. The design goal is stated plainly, that nobody has to notice a new company for it to end up in your system of record, with model matched decision makers pushed into three named systems and refreshed continuously as companies and roles change.
  • You want the buyer segmented properly before you talk to anyone. Four seats carry a page each covering sales leaders, representatives, marketing teams and revenue operations, with twelve named customer logos and four testimonials carrying full names, job titles and companies.
  • You need more than one national market. A Finnish product draws on the full trade register plus telecom operator data, and a European product covers the Nordics, Baltics, DACH, Benelux, Poland and the United Kingdom from each local register, against a counterpart built for exactly one country.
Select Säljmotorn if
  • The whole deal has to finish in one place. Company search, sequences across email and telephone, a shared inbox, needs analysis, quoting and electronic signature with a complete audit log all sit in one flow, sold explicitly against assembling a stack of five separate tools.
  • The sending path should be provisioned rather than assumed. Domain registration through a named registrar, automatic authentication record configuration, mailbox licensing through a named distributor and a warmed inbox delivered ready to send, with recipient addresses verified through a named supplier before entering the send queue.
  • You want the vendor to publish its own measured results with the method attached. Säljmotorn reports a reply rate across more than five thousand cold sends over a stated window, defines what counts as a reply, characterises the sample, publishes the segmentation and the hard bounce rate, and invites citation with attribution.

In Summary

The short version of each

Clevenio

Clevenio, trading as Sales Led Oy of Jyvaskyla, sells the whole market rather than a sample, building from each country's official business register and using large language models to cross reference those registers against public data across the web to attach the right decision makers to the right companies, refreshed continuously. The GTM Tech Index grades it B on AI centrality as a genuine middle case: the models are load bearing for the differentiator, since a register extract without decision makers attached is a free download, while roughly half the platform is conventional software that would survive their removal, covering sequences, the lightweight record system, buying signal triggers, the interface and the audience builder.

Säljmotorn

Säljmotorn is a Swedish business to business sales platform carrying a deal from unknown company to signed contract inside one system, built specifically and only for the Swedish market, with an assistant layer included in every plan that analyses the pipeline, prioritises the next step and helps draft outreach. The GTM Tech Index grades it C on AI centrality and records the vendor's restraint approvingly: marketing prominence runs ahead of functional centrality, and stripping the assistant out leaves a working platform while stripping out the Swedish company data leaves nothing, which the vendor describes without inflation, claiming no autonomous agents and not attributing the platform's results to inference.

Buyer Questions

Common questions

Is Clevenio better than Saljmotorn?

What the model is for. At Clevenio it manufactures the data, with large language models cross referencing official registers against public web data to decide which named person works at which company, and those matched records pushed automatically into the customer's system of record. At Säljmotorn the model helps the person work it: the assistant analyses the pipeline, prioritises the next step and drafts outreach, while the human configures the sequences and sends. Both name what they are doing, which is rarer than it sounds. They are doing different things.

Which one tells you more about its AI?

Säljmotorn names the provider and Clevenio names the method. Säljmotorn states which provider runs its assistant, publishes daily usage caps and names the standard contractual clauses covering the transfer, which the GTM Tech Index grades A and records as the most complete disclosure of its kind. Clevenio publishes the mechanism instead, telling buyers on its own homepage that its contact records are model produced rather than researcher verified, which no other data vendor in the index does, while naming no provider, family or version and publishing no accuracy rate for the matching.

How much do Clevenio and Saljmotorn cost?

Säljmotorn publishes three exact figures in kronor with no minimum commitment and monthly terms throughout, and states that every feature appears in every plan, so capacity is the entire purchasing decision and no capacity figure is published anywhere. Clevenio's pricing page carries the words transparent pricing above its headline and the words ask for pricing where the number belongs on both plans, with no tier, unit, floor, range or currency, while itemising precisely what each plan contains. The index grades Säljmotorn B and Clevenio D.

Where does the data come from at each?

Both build on official national company registers, which is a materially better provenance position than the unattributed databases this category usually offers, and both stop at the same place. Clevenio publishes three source classes: registers for companies, model matching against public web data and professional networks for the decision makers, and telecom operator data for Finnish phone numbers. Säljmotorn states its business data comes from official Swedish registers and names its verification supplier, while naming the registers as a class and stating no source for the embedded decision maker records.

Which one addresses outreach compliance?

Säljmotorn, comprehensively, and the GTM Tech Index grades it A on that axis. Every send carries one click unsubscribe implemented to a cited standard, the vendor states it meets the 2024 bulk sender requirements, addresses are verified before entering the queue, a processing agreement is executed with every customer, and the page closes by stating outright that the vendor does not guarantee that using the platform makes any customer compliant. At Clevenio nothing located sets out a consent basis, suppression mechanism, opt out route or do not call handling for the outreach the product performs.

How does the GTM Tech Index grade Clevenio and Saljmotorn?

Both are graded on the same seventeen capability and compliance axes from public sources, at documented depths of sixteen and seventeen. The GTM Tech Index grades Säljmotorn A on AI disclosure and model transparency, outreach compliance posture, platform terms exposure, deployment model and data residency, and deliverability discipline. Clevenio takes B on AI centrality, AI disclosure, data licensing and provenance, platform terms exposure, ecosystem depth and segment coverage, and carries the pair's only D, on commercial transparency. The index publishes no composite score and declares no winner.

Disclosure

Both vendors name their suppliers unusually well and neither has been examined itself. Säljmotorn's supplier naming is the most complete in this sub lane, covering the model provider, the domain registrar, the licence distributor, the address verification service, the payment processor and the cloud region, and its security page then presents certifications belonging to those suppliers rather than to itself.

The card industry certification is the payment processor's, earned by that processor and relevant only to the payment path. The security posture of the Stockholm region is the cloud provider's. Neither says anything about how this vendor operates its own service, and the framing invites a reader to draw comfort from the chain without noticing that no link in it was audited for this company's controls. Two passes located no audit of the vendor itself.

Clevenio's position is simpler and equally unexamined: no security page, trust centre, certification claim, penetration test or vulnerability disclosure route was located, and its footer legal section contains exactly three items with no security entry among them.

For a company founded in 2023 that absence is stage appropriate rather than negligent, and what is at stake meanwhile is worth stating, since the platform holds write access into the buyer's system of record and sending access for sequences. One further question belongs to Clevenio specifically and it inverts the usual concern.

Its models operate on public register and web data to build a database shared by every customer by design, so the cross tenant question that dominates elsewhere in this index barely applies to the dataset. What is unaddressed is the other direction: whether anything a customer does inside the platform, their sequence content, their replies or their own records, feeds the models or the shared dataset. Ask both whether they have been independently audited, and ask Clevenio what flows back.
