Terret vs Clari Forecast (2026)

Last VerifiedOctober 13, 2026
Verdict

Terret, the forecasting and revenue intelligence platform formerly sold as BoostUp, and Clari Forecast compete for the same weekly forecast call, and both have changed shape this year. Terret now wraps its forecast in Terret Nexus, which answers plain language questions about why deals slip or win rates fall and turns the answer into playbooks, call briefs and drafted outreach. Clari Forecast now sits inside Salesloft, where a flagged risk opens work in the seller's daily cadence. Terret's forecasting model handles subscription, consumption, renewal and expansion revenue together and can connect to the customer's data warehouse. Clari has the stronger security and integration record, with ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and an MCP server, and a deeper base of analyst evidence. Neither publishes a price, and neither sets out what an agent may change without a person. A team with mixed revenue models and no Salesloft footprint has more reason to trial Terret, and a Salesloft shop more reason to stay with Clari.

Select Terret if
  • Revenue arrives as subscriptions, consumption and renewals at once. Terret's forecast model handles those streams together.
  • Leaders want to ask why the number moved. Terret Nexus answers in plain language and turns the answer into a playbook.
  • The team wants proof on its own data first. Terret offers a free 48 hour proof of concept on last quarter's lost deals.
Select Clari Forecast if
  • Sellers run their outreach in Salesloft. Clari Forecast connects forecast risk to the actions in their daily workflow.
  • Security review expects ISO 27001 as well as SOC 2. Clari holds both, plus ISO 27701 for privacy.
  • AI assistants outside the platform need the forecast. Salesloft's MCP server serves Clari forecasting and inspection data to Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini.

The short version of each

Terret

Terret is the new name for BoostUp, and the product has grown from forecasting into what Terret calls an answer to action engine. Terret Forecast rolls up booked, commit, best case and pipeline numbers and explains each change as tailwinds and headwinds drawn from CRM history, call transcripts, email activity and product usage. Terret Nexus lets a leader ask why win rates dropped, then builds the playbook, pushes call briefs into Slack ahead of meetings and drafts outreach for each deal at risk, with a run control beside every agent action. The GTM Tech Index grades Terret B on security for a SOC 2 Type 2 report held since 2020, annual penetration tests and hosting on Amazon Web Services. Commercial transparency sits at D, since no price is published, although prospects can request a free 48 hour proof of concept.

Clari Forecast

For Clari, the forecast is the product and the merger with Salesloft supplies the follow through. Clari Forecast compares a model projection, trained on the customer's own won and lost deals, with the call each manager submits, and Inspect tracks deals whose buying activity has stalled. A risk raised there becomes a task for the seller inside Salesloft. The GTM Tech Index puts Clari at A on security, one step above Terret, backed by ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and the ISO 27701 privacy standard, and at A on ecosystem depth for an MCP server that serves forecasting and deal inspection data to outside assistants with write back. Hosting is in the United States. Clari, like Terret, publishes no price, and its contract is the master agreement it now shares with Salesloft, with a 90 day export window after the term.

Buyer Questions

Common questions

Is BoostUp now called Terret?

Yes. The BoostUp product is now sold as Terret by Vocalo Inc., which does business as Terret, and the BoostUp website leads to Terret's. Customers still sign in through the BoostUp application. Forecasting continues as Terret Forecast, alongside Terret Nexus and Terret Conversation Intelligence. Graded by GTM Tech Index against seventeen capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

Which forecasts consumption and renewal revenue better, Terret or Clari?

Terret's forecasting model was built to forecast subscription, consumption, renewal, expansion and other revenue streams together, and the GTM Tech Index grades its segment coverage B on that range of revenue models. Clari Forecast filters by bookings, renewals, region, segment and account size and serves revenue operations, sales, marketing and finance across several industries, which is where its A on segment coverage comes from.

Do Terret and Clari agents act without a person?

Terret shows each proposed agent action beside the deal with a run control, so a person starts it, but it publishes no limit on what an action may change. Clari's AI Forecast Agent sets a projection beside the human call, and Salesloft's MCP write back lets outside assistants act inside the platform. Both sit at C on autonomy and oversight in the GTM Tech Index.

What do Terret and Clari cost?

Neither publishes a price. Terret offers a free 48 hour proof of concept on the prospect's own closed lost deals before any commercial conversation, and its subscription terms are not public. Clari is quoted through Salesloft's sales team under a master agreement that commits multiyear terms in full. Both grade D on commercial transparency. Graded by GTM Tech Index against seventeen capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

Which region holds the data in Terret and Clari?

Terret runs entirely on Amazon Web Services without a named region, which holds it at C on deployment. Clari's platform is hosted in the United States, and the GTM Tech Index grades it B on that axis. Neither names a European hosting option for its forecasting product.
