Common Room vs Trigify (2026)

Last VerifiedOctober 13, 2026
Verdict

This is a migration decision rather than a live head to head. HubSpot acquired Trigify in September 2026 and is retiring the standalone platform, with access, integrations and the API ending for most customers at 11:59pm BST on 22 October 2026, and no account moves to HubSpot. Common Room is one place a Trigify workflow can go. It joins product usage, community, open source, website and CRM activity from more than fifty channels into one Person360 profile, runs RoomieAI agents for research and messaging, and exposes the same data through an MCP server and a command line tool on every plan, much as Trigify did. What does not carry over by itself is Trigify's evidence trail: each Trigify signal held the original public post, and the outputs table logged every action taken, so both need exporting before access ends. Common Room starts at $2,500 a month on annual billing for five seats, against Trigify's former $40 and $199 plans, so a small Trigify team is buying a larger platform.

Select Common Room if
  • Signals from product usage, community, open source and website visits should merge into one profile per person before outreach.
  • Agents built on Trigify's MCP server or command line tool need a replacement data source with the same kind of interface.
  • The team can budget $2,500 a month on annual billing and wants Bombora intent topics and visitor deanonymization in one plan.
Select Trigify if
  • An existing Trigify account has until 22 October 2026, or its contractual date, to export signals, source posts and the outputs table.
  • The team relied on seeing the exact public post behind each signal and needs that evidence kept with its records.
  • Workflows that replayed historical signals before going live need their rules written down before the platform shuts.

In Summary

The short version of each

Common Room

Zoom acquired Common Room in July 2026 and still sells its buyer intelligence platform under the Common Room name. It collects signals from more than fifty channels, from product usage and CRM records to community posts, open source contributions and website visits, and its Person360 engine merges one person's appearances into a single enriched profile. RoomieAI agents research accounts, draft messaging and keep CRM records clean, and an MCP server and command line tool come with every plan. Essential costs $2,500 a month billed annually with five seats, 100,000 contacts and 1,000 deanonymized visitors a month; Advanced and Enterprise are custom priced, and recurring data exports sit with Enterprise. The GTM Tech Index grades Common Room B on data privacy, since visitor tracking stays at company level until a person submits their own details and an API removes personal data on request.

Trigify

Trigify monitored public activity across business and community platforms, resolved each action to a named person, enriched that person with company and contact data and scored the intent behind it, from engagement with a competitor's post to a job change or a hiring push. Each signal carried the original source post, an outputs table logged every action the platform took, and an API, MCP server and command line tool exposed searches and enrichment to other software. It sold Starter at $40 a month and a middle plan at $199, both metered by one credit pool. HubSpot acquired the company in September 2026 and the platform is being retired, so the product is no longer sold. The GTM Tech Index grades Trigify B on data licensing and provenance because every signal shows the post that produced it, which is the record a departing customer most needs to keep.

Buyer Questions

Common questions

What happens to Trigify accounts after HubSpot's acquisition?

For customers on the standard notice period, Trigify access, integrations and API access end at 11:59pm BST on 22 October 2026, and customers with other contractual notice periods receive their own dates. Accounts do not move to HubSpot, the Trigify product will not appear inside HubSpot, and Trigify says HubSpot will not use customer data, which is retained or deleted under Trigify's contractual, privacy and legal obligations. Subscriptions do not renew past the service end date, and final invoices, credits and refunds are settled account by account. Graded by GTM Tech Index against seventeen capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

What should a Trigify customer export before access ends?

The outputs table, which records every action the platform took and exports directly, plus monitored people and accounts, signal results with their source posts, and the workflow rules that linked signals to actions; the API and command line tool reach the same records until the cutoff, and Trigify takes export help requests by email. Those source posts have no equivalent in Common Room's resolved profiles, so keeping them preserves why each person was surfaced. On exit and data portability the GTM Tech Index has Trigify at B for that export route and Common Room at C, where recurring bulk exports sit with Enterprise.

Can Common Room replace Trigify's social signal monitoring?

In part. Common Room collects social engagement alongside product usage, community, open source, website and CRM activity from more than fifty channels, resolves it to one person and enrolls qualified people into sequences in a connected engagement tool, with RoomieAI agents researching and drafting messages. Trigify was narrower and showed more about each signal by attaching the public post behind it. Both expose data to AI clients through an MCP server and a command line tool, so agent workflows built on Trigify's interface can be pointed at Common Room's. On ecosystem and integration depth the GTM Tech Index puts Common Room and Trigify level at B.

How much does Common Room cost compared with what Trigify charged?

Common Room's Essential plan is $2,500 a month billed annually, with five seats, 100,000 contacts, 5,000 RoomieAI research credits, 2,500 Prospector credits, 240,000 website activity events a year and 1,000 deanonymized visitors a month; Advanced and Enterprise are custom priced with 15 and 30 seats, and implementation comes as Starter, Core and Premier packages by plan. Trigify charged $40 and $199 a month on self serve plans with a quoted enterprise tier, metered by credits. The GTM Tech Index grades each B on commercial transparency, with Common Room's upper plans and Trigify's credit cost per action left unpublished.

Do Common Room and Trigify train AI on customer data?

Neither says. Common Room's subscription agreement lets it derive aggregate data in deidentified form from customer content and usage on a perpetual basis, but does not say whether customer content or resolved profiles train any model or which AI providers process them. The Trigify privacy policy is silent on model training, and its retirement notice says only that HubSpot will not use customer data. The GTM Tech Index grades both C on AI safety and data stewardship. Common Room holds a SOC 2 Type 2 report with annual external penetration tests and a data processing addendum, while Trigify published no security page or certification.

Disclosure

Both platforms identify people who never dealt with the customer: Common Room resolves community, social and open source appearances into named profiles, and Trigify tied public posts to named people with contact details appended. Neither published what those people are told. Zoom completed its acquisition of Common Room in July 2026, and HubSpot acquired Trigify in September 2026 and is retiring its platform.
