Bigin by Zoho CRM vs Pipedrive (2026)

Last VerifiedOctober 13, 2026
Verdict

Bigin and Pipedrive both sell a pipeline CRM to small teams, and the difference is how far each expects the team to grow inside it. Bigin is Zoho's CRM for businesses of one to twenty people: a free single user plan, then Express at $7, Premier at $12 and Bigin 360 at $18 per user a month on yearly billing, with built in calling, email and WhatsApp, booking pages, mass email and MCP access, and a stated path to Zoho CRM when a company outgrows it. Pipedrive starts at $14 and runs to $79, and spends that on depth: sequences and forecasts on Growth, LeadBooster, scoring, shared inboxes and electronic signatures on Premium, Nova meeting intelligence, and AWS hosting in seven regions. Bigin meters its plans by records, any row across pipelines, contacts, activities and notes, from 500 on the free plan to 1 million. A microbusiness wanting the lowest cost of entry and a free tier leans to Bigin, and a sales team that will live in the pipeline daily and needs meeting and document tools leans to Pipedrive.

Select Bigin by Zoho CRM if
  • One person needs a CRM at no cost, and the free plan covers a single user with a pipeline and 500 records.
  • Calls, email and WhatsApp conversations should land in the CRM without separate telephony, with built in phone available from the free plan.
  • The company already runs Zoho Desk, Campaigns or Forms and wants a CRM that connects to them and moves up to Zoho CRM later.
Select Pipedrive if
  • Reps run many deals at once and need sequences, subscription revenue forecasts and a meeting scheduler from Growth at $39.
  • Meeting notes should write themselves, with Nova briefing the rep, transcribing the call and proposing CRM updates.
  • Lead capture from web forms and chat, routed to the right rep, should come in the plan through LeadBooster on Premium.

Buyer Questions

Common questions

Is Bigin cheaper than Pipedrive for a three person team?

Yes. On yearly billing three Bigin Express seats cost $252 a year and three Premier seats $432, against $504 for three Pipedrive Lite seats and $1,404 for three on Growth. Monthly billing raises both: Bigin Express is $9 per user and Pipedrive's monthly rates sit behind its billing toggle. The GTM Tech Index rates both A on commercial transparency, since each publishes every edition's price and limits.

Does Bigin or Pipedrive have a free plan?

Bigin does: one user, one pipeline and 500 records with no time limit, beside a 15 day trial of the paid editions. Pipedrive has no free plan; each of its four plans can be tried for 14 days with full access and no card, and colleagues can join the trial. The GTM Tech Index grades Bigin's segment coverage A, for its stated one to twenty employee focus, and Pipedrive's B.

What happens to my data if I leave Bigin or Pipedrive?

Bigin includes data export and data backup on every edition, the free one included, and refunds a dissatisfied customer within 30 days on monthly billing or 45 on annual. Pipedrive exports every item type to Excel or CSV and through its API, keeps export files for 28 days, and deletes a closed paid account within 180 days, with annual plans not refunded. On exit and data portability the GTM Tech Index has Bigin at A and Pipedrive at B.

Which has more AI built in, Bigin or Pipedrive?

Pipedrive goes further: Pipedrive AI writes, summarizes and answers email and builds reports from a typed request, and Nova handles meeting briefs, transcripts and proposed CRM updates, with its AI providers, including Anthropic and OpenAI, named on its sub processor page. Bigin drafts emails with AI from context, summarizes a record and supports MCP for outside AI tools. The GTM Tech Index grades Pipedrive A and Bigin B on AI disclosure and model transparency.

Can Bigin or Pipedrive grow with a team past twenty people?

Bigin says it is built for one to twenty employees and points a growing company to Zoho CRM, its larger sibling, with Bigin 360 offering the highest limits until then. Pipedrive serves small and mid sized teams on the same platform at every plan, with Ultimate adding account security rules, IP and time based access limits and a sandbox for testing changes.
