monday CRM

monday CRM is the sales product from monday.com, built on the company's customizable board platform and sold to revenue teams that want one place for leads, contacts, accounts, deals and post sale work. Pipelines, forms, automations, quotes and invoices, email tracking and a unified activity timeline for each contact come with the record system, and teams can reshape boards and columns to fit their own sales process. More than 35,000 customers use it.

AI sits across the product. Sidekick answers questions and runs work in context, AI data fields fill and classify columns, and an AI meeting notetaker writes call summaries into the CRM. A set of agents handles specific sales jobs: a Lead Sourcing Agent finds, enriches and scores new leads each day against an ideal customer profile, a Calling Agent phones and qualifies leads from a playbook and logs summaries, and others watch the pipeline and prepare briefs before meetings. Agent Factory lets teams write their own agents in plain language.

Admins decide what each agent can see, edit or create, cap AI credit spending by team, review a live log of every agent action, and test agents in a simulation mode before they go live. The models come from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, run through Vertex, Bedrock, Azure AI and self hosted AWS environments, and neither monday.com nor its model providers train on customer data.

Basic costs $18 per seat a month on monthly billing or $12 on annual billing, Standard $25 or $17, and Pro $41 or $28, while Ultimate, the renamed Enterprise tier, is quoted. A 14 day trial stands in for a free plan. AI credits come with every plan. Standard brings the agents and notetaker, Pro adds mass email, email sequences and the AI workflow builder, and contact, quote and automation limits rise by plan, from 1,000 active contacts and deals on Basic to 100,000 on Pro. Accounts are hosted in the United States, the European Union or Australia, and Enterprise accounts in the EU region keep data and subprocessor hosting inside the EU.

AI Capability
AI CentralityAI CentralityWhether AI is the product or a feature veneer. The removal test: peel the AI label off, and does anything sellable remain?
CC on AI CentralityAI features on a conventional platform. Peel the AI label off and the product still works roughly as before.
Vendor Published

Boards, pipelines, automations, forms, quotes and the contact timeline all run without models. The AI layer is broad: Sidekick, AI data fields, a meeting notetaker, agents that source leads, place calls, watch the pipeline and prepare briefs, and Agent Factory for custom agents. Billed as an AI first CRM, it still leaves a working sales system once the AI is set aside.

Autonomy and Oversight ModelAutonomy and Oversight ModelWhat the system does without a human. Draft for review, auto send, or fully agentic, and what contains a bad run.
BB on Autonomy and Oversight ModelThe human in the loop posture is described substantively (draft versus auto send, approval flows) but the failure containment story is incomplete.
Vendor Published

Agents act on their own: sourcing and scoring leads daily, placing qualification calls, monitoring the pipeline. Admins set what each agent can access, edit or create, cap AI credits by team, read a live log of every agent action with time and owner, and validate agents in a simulation mode first. An approval step before a call or a send, and a way to halt a running agent, are not described.

AI Disclosure and Model TransparencyAI Disclosure and Model TransparencyWhat models power the product, whether AI generated outreach discloses itself, and whether scoring and routing logic is explainable.
BB on AI Disclosure and Model TransparencyMeaningful disclosure of the model stack or the disclosure posture, with one real gap, commonly silence on whether AI authored outreach identifies itself.
Vendor Published

Models come from Anthropic's Claude series, OpenAI's GPT series, Google's Gemini and Sentence Transformers, deployed on Google Vertex, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI and self hosted AWS environments, and AI features are on by default in every account. How lead scores are calculated is not explained, and whether the Calling Agent tells a lead it is software goes unstated.

Operational and Outcome EvidenceOperational and Outcome EvidenceMeasured outcomes with a stated basis: replies, meetings, pipeline, win rates. Logos are not evidence and prestige is not measurement.
CC on Operational and Outcome EvidenceOutcome claims are headline percentages with no stated basis, or customer logos standing in for results.
Vendor Published

More than 35,000 customers use monday CRM. Results appear as headline figures, among them a 60 percent increase in outbound sales calls, with no customer, sample or period behind them. Nothing measures what the Lead Sourcing or Calling agents produce in meetings or pipeline.

Compliance and Risk
Outreach Compliance PostureOutreach Compliance PostureHow the product handles regulated outreach: consent, DNC scrubbing, opt out mechanics, caller ID conduct, and the public enforcement record.
CC on Outreach Compliance PostureCompliance is mentioned as the customer’s responsibility, with little or no product enforcement described. The tool can be run lawfully, and nothing about it helps.
Vendor Published

The Calling Agent phones leads around the clock from a custom playbook, and Pro adds mass email and automated sequences. TCPA consent for AI voice calls, do not call scrubbing, calling hours and email opt out handling are not addressed for these features, so the burden sits with the customer.

Data Privacy PostureData Privacy PostureGDPR and CCPA posture: lawful basis, data subject rights handling, DPA availability, subprocessor disclosure.
BB on Data Privacy PostureA real privacy program is visible (DPA available, policy substantive) with a gap on the hard question, commonly lawful basis for enriched or tracked individuals.
Vendor Published

monday.com acts as processor for customer data under a published DPA, with transfers covered by the EU US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, standard contractual clauses with UK and Swiss addenda, and Israel's adequacy decision. An EU representative handles requests. The lawful basis for people the Lead Sourcing Agent finds and enriches is not addressed.

Data Licensing and ProvenanceData Licensing and ProvenanceWhere the data comes from and on what legal footing: licensed, contributed, public record, or scraped, and who stands behind the answer.
CC on Data Licensing and ProvenanceData is described by its size and coverage with its origin unstated. The provenance question is answerable only by asking the vendor.
Vendor Published

The Lead Sourcing Agent finds new prospects and enriches them with company and contact details each day. Where those records come from, under what license, and whether they stay usable after cancellation are not stated. The rest of the data in the CRM is the customer's own.

Platform Terms ExposurePlatform Terms ExposureWhether the product operates inside the terms of the platforms it touches, and the restriction risk a buyer inherits when it does not.
BB on Platform Terms ExposureThe method is described and mostly conformant, with one real ambiguity the vendor does not resolve, or conformance asserted without the partnership evidence that would settle it.
Vendor Published

Email tracking and sending run through connected Gmail and Outlook accounts, and the marketplace adds calling, meeting and data connectors. Terms make the customer responsible for any outside agents it lets into the account. The telephony route behind the Calling Agent is not named.

AI Safety and Data StewardshipAI Safety and Data StewardshipThe cross client boundary: whether customer data trains models that serve competitors, plus retention and deletion posture.
AA on AI Safety and Data StewardshipThe cross client boundary is answered in writing: whether customer data trains shared models, with opt out or contractual exclusion documented, plus retention and deletion specifics.
Vendor Published

Customer data does not train monday.com's AI models, and the company does not allow others to train on it. Its model providers work under zero data retention commitments, and where models run on monday.com controlled servers on Bedrock, Azure AI or Vertex, the providers have no access to customer data. AI features follow the same security controls as the rest of the platform.

Recipient Disclosure and AuthenticityRecipient Disclosure and AuthenticityHow the product presents itself to the people it targets: whether automated outreach and AI agents disclose themselves, whether sender personas are real, and whether personalization is grounded in verifiable fact. Measured as known compliance with Article 50 of the EU AI Act, in force since August 2, 2026, which requires AI systems that interact with individuals to disclose that fact.
CC on Recipient Disclosure and AuthenticityNothing published on whether recipients are told they are dealing with software. For a product whose AI talks to prospects, silence here is now a regulatory posture, not a style choice.
Vendor Published

The Calling Agent speaks with leads directly, and nothing indicates that it introduces itself as an AI or names the company it calls for. Sequenced and mass emails carry no AI marking either. monday.com takes no position on Article 50 of the EU AI Act for its customer facing agents.

Integration and Deployment
Ecosystem and Integration DepthEcosystem and Integration DepthDocumented depth of CRM and stack integration: objects, sync direction, API surface, marketplace presence that matches the claims.
BB on Ecosystem and Integration DepthSolid primary CRM integration documented, with depth unstated at the edges (sync direction, custom objects, failure behavior).
Vendor Published

Gmail and Outlook sync feed the activity timeline, and the monday.com apps marketplace and API connect telephony, meeting and data tools. Automations link boards across monday.com's other products, so sales handoffs can reach delivery and service teams. Field level sync behavior for outside CRMs and marketing tools is not spelled out.

Deployment Model and Data ResidencyDeployment Model and Data ResidencyWhere the product runs and where customer data lives, including residency options for EU buyers.
AA on Deployment Model and Data ResidencyHosting, regions, and residency options documented: where data lives, what EU customers can choose, and what is single tenant versus shared.
Vendor Published

Accounts are hosted in one of three regions: the United States, the European Union in Germany, or Australia. Enterprise accounts in the EU region get strict residency, with customer data and subprocessor hosting kept inside the EU. In other regions some data components can sit outside the assigned region, as the DPA sets out.

Security Certifications and Trust CenterSecurity Certifications and Trust CenterVerifiable security posture: enumerated current certifications and a trust center an outsider can actually read.
BB on Security Certifications and Trust CenterCertifications named and plausible with a gap: no trust center, stale dates, or asserted without enumeration.
Vendor Published

The trust center lists SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 reports, ISO 27001, 27017, 27018, 27032 and 27701, a HIPAA business associate agreement and an AI governance section. A vulnerability reporting route is open to researchers. Audit dates and the terms for reading the SOC 2 report are not shown.

Commercial and Operational
Commercial TransparencyCommercial TransparencyWhether a buyer can budget without a sales call. Published pricing graded on completeness, not on the price itself.
BB on Commercial TransparencyPartial pricing published (entry tiers real, enterprise opaque) or pricing published with load bearing exclusions.
Vendor Published

Seats cost $18 a month on Basic, $25 on Standard and $41 on Pro with monthly billing, falling to $12, $17 and $28 when paid annually, and Ultimate is quoted. Each plan sets contact, quote and automation limits, and AI credits come with every plan. The number of credits per plan, the cost of extra credits and what an agent run consumes are not listed, and the agents depend on that budget.

Exit and Data PortabilityExit and Data PortabilityWhat happens when a customer leaves: completeness of data export, rights to enriched or licensed data after termination, deletion commitments, and auto renewal mechanics, graded from published terms and documentation.
BB on Exit and Data PortabilityReal export capability documented, with a material exit question unstated in public terms, commonly post termination rights to licensed or enriched records.
Vendor Published

Customers keep ownership of their data, and board data exports from the account. Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 30 days before expiry, at the same price unless monday.com gives notice, and a yearly plan cancelled within 30 days of payment gets a prorated refund. Accrued credits lapse when a subscription ends. A deletion timeline after termination is not given.

Deliverability and Sending DisciplineDeliverability and Sending DisciplineThe operational craft of sending: warmup, rotation, volume governance, spam rate monitoring, and what happens when reputation degrades.
CC on Deliverability and Sending DisciplineDeliverability is invoked as a benefit with no documented mechanism. For senders this is the axis where marketing most outruns evidence.
Vendor Published

Mass email and automated sequences on Pro send through the rep's connected mailbox. Sending limits, warmup, bounce handling and reputation monitoring for those campaigns are not described.

Segment and Market CoverageSegment and Market CoverageWho the product actually serves, evidenced: segments, geographies, languages, and customers that match the claim.
CC on Segment and Market CoveragePositioning language covers everyone from startup to enterprise, which specifies no one.
Vendor Published

monday CRM is sold to revenue teams from small businesses to enterprises, with nonprofit discounts and pages for retail, media, construction and government. More than 35,000 customers and hosting on three continents show its reach. No breakdown by company size, industry or region accompanies the claim.
