AiSDR vs Artisan (2026)
Both sell an AI agent that finds prospects, writes and sends outreach, answers replies and books meetings, and both take on the sending setup for the customer. The split is in how a buyer starts and what they can read first. AiSDR prices every plan in the open, from $250 a month for 200 researched contacts on a month to month Solo plan to $2,500 on Scale, and a customer can build campaigns before paying. Artisan sizes its Team, Scale and Enterprise plans by leads contacted, about 2,500 and 6,000 a month on the first two, and quotes each after a demo, with a success manager and onboarding in every plan and a strategist on Enterprise. Artisan publishes more of its legal footing: a data processing agreement that bars its model suppliers from training on customer data, SSO, and two way Salesforce and HubSpot sync on every plan, where AiSDR's two way Salesforce sync arrives only on Scale. Artisan states SOC 2 Type II on its site, though the trust center it links lists no SOC 2 report. A small team testing outbound on its own budget starts with AiSDR. A larger team that wants a managed rollout and contract terms in writing is Artisan's buyer.
- The team wants to test outbound before committing. Solo runs month to month at $250 for 200 researched contacts, and campaigns can be built before paying.
- The budget has to be approved from a published price list. AiSDR shows every plan, allowance and managed service price on its pricing page.
- A HubSpot shop wants the agent to work from CRM data. AiSDR's native HubSpot integration syncs lists, logs activity and personalizes from record properties on every plan.
- Procurement needs a published data processing agreement, SSO and audit logs before the pilot. Artisan publishes its DPA and supports SSO, with audit logs on Enterprise; its SOC 2 Type II claim is not matched by any SOC 2 report in its own trust center.
- Salesforce is the system of record. Artisan syncs with Salesforce and HubSpot in both directions on every plan, not only the largest.
- The rollout should be run with the vendor. Every Artisan plan includes a success manager in a shared Slack channel, and Enterprise adds a forward deployed strategist.

The short version of each
AiSDR
AiSDR sells outbound as a subscription with the infrastructure included. Its strategist agent, Ami, which the vendor says was trained on more than 17,000 real campaigns, turns a short conversation into an ideal customer profile and a campaign, then the agent researches each net new contact and sends email, LinkedIn connection requests, messages and InMail, with Aircall call steps in sequences. A team picks autonomous replies inside minutes or approves each message first. Plans are metered by contacts researched each month: 200 on Solo at $250, 800 on Explore at $900 and 2,500 on Scale at $2,500, with domains and mailboxes bought and warmed by AiSDR. The GTM Tech Index grades it A on commercial transparency. Nothing published says whose campaigns trained Ami, and the GTM Tech Index grades it C on AI safety and data stewardship.

Artisan
Artisan sells Ava as an AI BDR rather than a tool. Ava finds leads in a database of more than 250 million B2B contacts, enriches them, watches for intent signals, writes and sends email and social campaigns from the customer's own sending domains in the reps' names, handles replies and books meetings, while an AI dialer add on queues calls for human reps with a brief before and a follow up after. An autonomy dial sets how much Ava owns, and operators can require approval before sending, lock tone and calls to action, and ban phrases. Salesforce and HubSpot sync both ways on every plan, which the GTM Tech Index grades B on ecosystem depth. Each plan is scoped to the leads Ava contacts each month and priced in a sales conversation, and the GTM Tech Index grades it C on commercial transparency.

Common questions
Can a team start on AiSDR or Artisan without talking to sales?
AiSDR, yes: a customer signs up without a card, builds campaigns with Ami and pays at launch, and Solo runs month to month at $250. Explore and Scale sit on quarterly contracts billed monthly. Artisan routes every plan, Team, Scale and Enterprise, to sales for a price scoped to lead volume, mailboxes and dialer seats. The GTM Tech Index grades AiSDR A and Artisan C on commercial transparency.
How do AiSDR and Artisan let a person control what the agent sends?
AiSDR offers a copilot mode in which a person approves each message, or autonomous replies within five to ten minutes, and outbound can be paused at any time. Artisan uses an autonomy dial and lets operators approve before sending, lock tone and calls to action, set banned phrases and define escalation rules, with audit logs on Enterprise. The GTM Tech Index grades both B on autonomy and oversight.
Does AiSDR or Artisan say whether customer data trains its models?
Artisan's data processing agreement bars its model and AI suppliers from using customer data, prompts or outputs to train models for other customers or for their own products, though it does not say whether Ava's own learning is pooled across customers. AiSDR advertises Ami as trained on more than 17,000 real campaigns without saying whose. On AI safety and data stewardship, the GTM Tech Index grades Artisan B and AiSDR C.
Which CRMs do AiSDR and Artisan sync with?
AiSDR has a native two way HubSpot integration on every plan and adds two way Salesforce sync on Scale, alongside Gmail, Outlook and the Aircall dialer. Artisan syncs with Salesforce and HubSpot in both directions on every plan, accepts the customer's own data through custom webhooks and reports into Slack. Artisan holds B on ecosystem and integration depth in the GTM Tech Index, and AiSDR holds C.
What happens to data when an AiSDR or Artisan contract ends?
AiSDR writes activity, call tasks and enriched fields into the connected CRM as it works, so the operational record already sits with the customer, and unused messages expire when the subscription ends. Artisan's data processing agreement commits to delete or return customer data within 90 days of termination. AiSDR buys and warms sending domains for the customer, and its terms do not say who owns them at exit. The GTM Tech Index grades both C on exit and data portability.

Neither vendor tells recipients that software wrote the message: AiSDR writes in the sender's voice and Artisan sends in the reps' names. Artisan quotes every plan after a demo, and AiSDR does not say what the campaigns behind its strategist agent contain.
