Membrain's in app AI assistant and its MCP connector can now list and read the documents stored in a project, such as proposals, RFPs, contracts and specs, and read the product rows on a sales project, including quantity, revenue, unit cost, discount and recurring terms. The same access works from Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP connector, product rows are read only, and both are included in every Insight Engine package.

Deal documents and pricing detail become available to AI assistants, which helps with proposal and deal reviews and also widens what an outside AI client can see.

Membrain added Company and Contact discovery inside the CRM through Insight Engine: Find New Companies filters by industry, size and location, and Find Contacts filters by seniority, job title, keywords and location, with both searches matchable in one pass. Selected results are added as Company and Contact records or created directly as Prospects, with a link to the list of everything just added. Earlier, the enrichment dialog only found new contacts at a company already linked to a project.

Net new contact sourcing now happens inside Membrain and draws on Insight Engine credits, which can replace a separate prospect data tool for some teams. Buyers should confirm which provider supplies the records, since the enrichment guide names Membrain's own source, Apollo and ZoomInfo.

Membrain now includes Insight Engine Basic for every customer, with 500 credits and 100 MCP calls a month. The release also adds proactive meeting preparation, suggested follow up tasks, links to newly found records and individual OAuth authentication for Claude through MCP. Advanced enrichment and automation stay in paid packages.

AI that was a separate subscription is now part of the base product, so every buyer can test the core workflows before paying for more. The monthly allowances and the line between included and paid automation are what decide the real cost.

Membrain added Product Revenue Graphs, which aggregate the product rows from Sales Projects, Quotes and Orders into a single visualization of revenue, products and commercial activity.

Useful mainly to teams whose quotes and orders originate in an ERP and sync in, because that is where the product level view usually fragments across two systems. For everyone else this is a reporting convenience rather than a change in what the platform can do.

Membrain shipped a built in AI Assistant and an MCP Connector. The connector lets external tools such as Claude and ChatGPT reach Membrain's sales data directly, so questions about stalled opportunities and account risk are answered against the CRM record rather than against whatever the rep pastes into a prompt.

The interesting half is the connector, not the assistant. A built in assistant is table stakes in this category now, whereas letting a buyer bring their own model to the data is a different posture, and it means the vendor is competing on the record it holds rather than on the chat window it wraps around it.
